Any supernatural and melodramatic element in the novel King Solomon's Mines??

Is there any weird or supernatural thing or element in this novel?

The natives are superstitious, and because of thbose superstitions certain modern technology introduced into their society tends to bouy their belief in the supernatural. Guns are seen as "live devils," (page 70).

Guns seem to be the most supernatural form of technology, the men who carry them are considered wizards, what they do with them is considered witchcraft. We also have the eclipse of the sun.
