King Lear Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of King Lear, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

In the Day 1 activity "King Lear in Performance," students watch two short film clips and compare them.

In the Day 2 activity "King Lear Adaptations," students watch two additional film clips. In the activity "Shakespeare's Theater" students will need to perform research online, and may also want to incorporate technology into their class presentations.

Students may need to research period costumes online in the Day 4 activity "Costume Design."...
