Situational Irony:

Mrs. Mallard comes alive with the news of her husband's death.

Dramatic Irony:

As Josephine concerns herself with attempting to console the grieving widow, who has interred herself in her room. Mrs. Mallard, who is believed to be in need of consolation is rejoicing in her newfound freedom.
