Why is Cassius trying to convince Brutus to let Cassius be the mirror into his heart? What does it seem like Cassius is trying to do? What are his motives?

Cassius is trying to influence Brutus' decisions..... he wants Brutus to see the situation in the same way he does. Cassius wants Brutus to join him in plotting against Caesar.
