Explain some reasons why the crowd might get so excited when Julius Caesar is offered the crown three times and refuses it each time?

They crowd feeds off of Caesar's theatrics. Caesar knows he has ultimate power with or without the crown. Caesar is playing on the idea that he is not an ambitious leader.
