In many ways in this scene, Cassius seems to be the villain because he convinces Brutus to take the side of those wanting to assassinate Caesar. In the beginning of the scene, Brutus seems to argue with himself, but eventually, with Cassius' intervention, he agrees that the plan should be to kill Caesar. Heroes are hard to find in this play because so many of the characters are so self-absorbed.
