Julius Caesar

Act III Scene i

In Act III, Scene 1, Lines 227-243, Shakespeare includes the tense exchanges among Brutus, Cassius, and Mark Antony immediately following the murder of Caesar. The dialogue between Brutus and Cassius reveals Cassius's deep distrust for Antony's motives and his fear of the consequences of allowing Antony to speak publicly about Caesar at his funeral.

What does Cassius's final statement mean, "I know now what may fall; I like it not" as a foreshadowing of the demise of the conspirators.
