what is brutus's explanation regarding his avoidance of Cassius and his other friends?

I'm not sure that Brutus avoids them rather than tolerates them. Brutus finds it difficult to be a part of these men who conspire to Murder Caesar. Brutus has, however, rationalized that getting rid of Caesar is in the best interests of the Republic.
