Jonny needs to think less about himself and control his anger. He also needs a purpose in life to help ground him. As Johnny spends more time with Rab and his family, becomes more humble. Johnny begins to understand the value of the simple pleasures in life like family, food, his paper job and his horse Goblin. Johnny becomes more self aware and cognizant that he is just one part of a bigger picture.

Before Johnny meets Rab, he gets angry really easily. After they meet, Rab teaches Johnny how to manage his anger by counting to 10. I'm not sure if this will help but this is one option
