Johnny Tremain

According to Johnny, at sixteen he is "a boy in time of peace and a man in time of war." Do you agree with this statement? Do you think more is expected of young people when country is at war? Explain.

Yes, Johnny is just a teenager. In times of peace, he can go about his business with a limited amount of responsibility. Unfortunately, at sixtten, he is also expected (and wants) to fight for the independence of his country. He is a boy fighting in a man's war because he is needed.

Yes, i agree with this statement because Johnny does a man's job in war and takes more responsibilty.
