How does Jane Eyre display wisdom?

Jane displays wisdom throughout the novel because she is a realist. She understands her place in school, the jobs which will be available to her, her place in society, and what she will need to overcome before attaining the things she truly desires. Jane is a feminist through and through..... she desires equality in marriage (the reason she initially refuses Rochester's proposal), she has no interest in superficiality, and her actions command respect above all else. Jane is wise beyond her years because she understands the need to love and be happy with herself before extending things she doesn't understand to those around her.
