What do the islanders do that contributes too bad feelings between them and the Aleuts?

The islanders does not want to share the Aleuts because they do not think they are honest, they dont want to share their food.

When the Aleuts learn of the tribe’s good fortune, they demand that Chief Chowig give them some of the fish. He refuses, on the grounds that the Aleuts are hunters and can collect their own meat.
