The Invisible Man is pretty secretive. He comes to small town that loves to gossip. This isn't a good combination. The Invisible man takes to "borrowing" certain items and is eventually accused of stealing. The IM snaps at this accusation. He takes off his clothes which reveals that he is at least not naked....he's invisible! The IM is able to do some major destruction to the village of Iping as well as damage to a lot of citizens before he is cornered.
