Despite his lack of teamwork in many cases, how does Boukreev show dedication to his fellow cimbers?

Boukreev goes back out in the storm to search for Pittman, Fox, Weathers, and Namba. He gets lost while looking for the men, returns to camp, and sets out again. Because of his tenacity, Pittman and Fox are rescued. Unfortunately, the others die.
