What are similarities and differences between Chris McCandless and Jane Burgess
I have to make a Venn diagram and i used these two characters
Jan Burress is a pretty minor character in the book. I suppose they are both counter culture in that they travel around with little money. Jan Burress and Bob at the Niland Slabs where Jan runs a table at the flea market. Jan seems to understand the need for companionship and at least some stability in her life where as Chris feels he can make it alone. Jan has a motherly concern for Chris. Jan tries to give him some money and some long underwear, but he refuses to take anything.
