Flint was building Harriet a small house in the woods. He wanted to move her where he could pursue his sexual interest away from watching eyes. Rather than submit to Flint, Harriet began a relationship with Mr. Sands, who was kind to her. When Flint told Harriet the house he was building was almost complete.... she announced that she was pregnant.
