Why does't Dedé join her sisters in the revolution?
I know she was afraid to lose her kids because of her husband but, I think I'm missing something

Dede doesn't join the revolution because she's afraid. In addition to her fear, her husband, Jaimito pressures her not to get involved.... he doesn't want trouble for their family.
