who is Hilda and how is she connected or related to Minerva? Why is the connection important to note?

Hilda is an orphan Minerva befriends at school. She is a part of the Revolutionary movement and has great influence over Minerva, but the most important connection between them is that Minerva helps Hilda escape capture by the authorities..... by doing this she becomes active in the revolution.
