who is floyed wells?

Floyed Wells is Dick’s cellmate at the Kansas State Penitentiary, and a former employee at River Valley Farm, who told Dick that Herb Clutter kept ten thousand dollars in a safe in his house. Wells is the one to tip off the detectives about Perry and Dick, which eventually results in their arrest.
