What does Perry's behavior at the beach and swimming pool reveal about his character?

I believe this question has been asked before. Do you have a chapter or page number for this question. I haven't been able to find any reference to Perry's character except that he doesn't "dress" for the beach or the pool...... and that he doesn't appreciate Dick's behavior toward women at either of these places.
