Chapter please?

THe real irony relates to the fact that the town, which had once been so close and shared everything with each other, became very close mouthed after the murders. They especially did not discuss what happened to the families, especially the gruesome part of the murders. The discussion for many years was always what were the good qualities of the family; the irony is that in discussing what happened to the Clutters, the people might have learned how to be more safe. They, at some level, tried to maintain the same comfortable lifestyle before the murders. Yet, we know that such a lifestyle will never again be possible.
