Iliad

Describe the "enemy" of the war in the Iliad.

Just read up to book 21 in my class and was wondering if someone could think of a possible answer and why. I considered Achilles himself, pride and other metaphorical enemies but can't pin one down.

Hmmmmmm, I always considered Achilles the protagonist. Hector would have been his worst enemy, although Hector is one of my favorite characters. I find him far more honorable than those who destroy him.
