If I Die in a Combat Zone

Who is O’Brien’s captain who epitomized courage in its truest sense during the war?

My understanding for the answer is Captain Johansen and I would love to ask other's advice to make sure!!!

Thank you!

Captain Johansen was O'Brien's Commanding Officer. O'Brien respected him as a leader and a man. Really O'Brien views him as the only hero he has ever known. This isn't just because of his bravery. He is sensitive to his men as well as innocent "collateral damage". When O'Brien radios for him, he is there like a guardian angel.
