Why is Malala's father called a falcon?

Malala's grandfather gives her father the name Shaheen after he wins a speaking competition. To do so, her father had to overcome his stuttering. In response to his son's ability to overcome his issue he gave him the name because his son, like a falcon, flew above all all others. A falcon flies aove all other birds..... Malala's father soared above his competition.
