what can be done about female education in the Middle East and places like Pakistan

I think places like these need people in power who believe in education for women and want to empower them to contribute to the country in more ways than just bearing children.

Malala's father said he believed that lack of education was the root of all Pakistan's problems. How might this be true? How do you think eliminating some of these subjects for women will affect life in their country.
