Males and Females are treated differently in terms of education opportunities being denied to the girls while boys being given that eduaction opportunity. Moreover, the disparity arises from violence women experience in forced marriages while men are given the oportunity to exert that violence. The argument is that the "violent" portrayal of Pashtuns existed largely because of lack of Pashtun voices in literature, and therefore small or uncounterbroken counterparts were present in Pashtun colonial representation.
