Conservative Islam expected girls to have very limited education, get married, take care of children, and support husband.

I as well agree with this answer, society was known to force women into their homes and clean and cook for the men whilst the men were outside. They did not want girls either to go outside so, they were not allowed to go to school yet, some did and one of them was Malala and her memoir is her story and how she struggled throughout that.
