How is Malala's character influenced and shaped by her surroundings?

In my opinion, Malala's character is most shaped by her parents, who provided her with the means and opporturtunity to have an education. Malala's father believed in an education for girls, and even when those opportinuties began to be taken away.... he continued the fight.
