Malala turns thirteen in July and the monsoon floods come cascading into the Swat Valley. Thousands of people and homes are in danger. The tree line, which had once been a natural barrier for water coming from the mountains, was chopped down. The floods threatened all city infrastructures, like roads, bridges, and electricity. Some suggest that the Americans have engineered flood and earthquake to undermine Islam and the Swat valley.
