At first, David became angry at God for allowing King to die, and then he realized that King made the choice to sacrifice his life for David's of his own free will. Knowing King sacrificed himself for David, made David realize he had to choose not only to live, but to finish his journey.... good or bad.David also learned that sacrifice is a part of life.
