(Chapter 7) What advice did Johannes give David about blame and responsibility?

Johannes tells David that you can't blame others if you don't take responsibility for yourself. In Chapter Seven, David blames God for his being trapped on the farm, but when he realizes that he is allowing the farmer to lock him up, he then comes to see that it is a lesson from God. This realization causes David to make a plan for escape.
