I'm assuming you want a work of fiction that is not Shakespearean to begin with. There was the 2006 teen movie Ten Things I Hate about You. This was a complete allusion to Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. Note the social hierarchy and cliques of teen life mirror that of medieval nobility. Take a look at the plots/characters of both and you will see.
