Yolanda is travelling north to Altemira to see wealthy reletives. She stops at a cantina owned by an old woman and her son Jose. Jose and Yolanda go to pick Guavas and return to a flat tire. Jose goes to the Miranda Mansion for help but is beaten by the guard fore telling lies. This is why Yolanda later sees the boy crying by the side of the road.
