The moral lesson of this poem is to live life to its fullest, find a purpose, and leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. A Psalm of Life is meant to encourage us to spend our lives, however short they might be, in pursuit of meaningful, compassionate acts that will change the lives of others.... those living, and those to come.
