What is Marlow's attitude toward the pilgrims, and why?

Marlow dislikes the pilgrims in the strongest way. He finds the pilgrims to be useless greedy chubby white leaches who care only for their own pockets. Marlow would have gladly thrown them overboard to the crocodiles.
