When Harry arrived at King's Cross Station, he realised that there was no obvious Platform 9 3/4. He got confused, because the Hogwarts letter clearly stated that he had to be at Platform 9 3/4 at 11 am sharp, where the Hogwarts Express would be waiting for him.
