The First Task of the Triwizard Tournament took place on 24 November, and the objective was to retrieve a golden egg that was being guarded by a dragon - the egg would be located within a clutch of real dragon eggs. When Cedric Diggory makes his attempt to take the golden dragon's egg from the Swedish Short-Snout, Albus uses his wand to disarm Cedric.
