I had to do statistics assignment on the various novels of the last couple of centuries and based on that, on https://www.shmoop.com/ and on of course the book it self I'll say Gradgrind's educational philosophy hasn't affected Sissy; she definitesly disagrees with his way of thinking, while Louisa isn't that rebellious and allowes rationality to take care of her life ---- though at first it may seem like a good choice but later when she is faced with love and inability to express her feelings and understand herself, she gets quite a sad ending while Louisa is the only character who gets a happy ending of marriage and children.
