The mystery surrounds the Ghost of Hamlet Sr. It is cold, dark, and ominous in front of the gates of the palace. Something is amiss in Denmark -- for two successive nights; the midnight guard has witnessed the appearance of the ghost of Old Hamlet, the former King of Denmark who has recently died. Why is the Ghost there? Is it really the Ghost of Hamlet Sr. or some other spirit in his form? The sadness comes from the melancholy of the ghost. This is not a scary ghost but a sad ghost who is going to relate a sad tale about what happened to him.
