I assume that you are referring to Hamlet's sadness over the death of his father. Claudius reminds hamlet that, while sad, it is natural that he lose his father at some point.

But you must know your father lost a father, That father lost, lost his, and the survivor bound In filial obligation for some term To do obsequious sorrow.
