why did the people hate claudius?

I don't believe we're ever directly given the thoughts of the people..... or a mention of hatred. We are informed, however, that people gossip about the relationship of the King and Queen..... that there are those who believe the marriage was too hasty, and that there are people who suspect Claudius of murder. There are even those who see Gertrude as a possible accomplice. None-the-less, it is Hamlet's views that we are exposed to..... and he sees nothing innocent in his uncle or mother's actions.
