While talking to his mother, Hamlet is able to see the ghost but she cannot. What is the significance of this and what does it reveal?

This makes Hamlet look really crazy to his mother. It reinforces the idea that Hamlet has gone mad. Beyond that, it also reinforces Hamlet's link to the afterlife and his duty to do what the ghost asked. The ghost had told Hamlet to leave mother to Heaven yet Hamlet was traumatizing her.
