Hamlet

Hamlet

Why did Claudius summon the help of Rosencratz and Guildenstern? What does he ask them to do for him? Do you believe Claudius' intentions are good? Can he be trusted?

Caudius wants Rosencratz and Guildenstern to spy on Hamlet and report any incriminating information. Caludius is not just searching for a reason for Hamlet's melancholy. At this point in the play, Caludius does not trust Hamlet. He believes that Hamlet is dangerous to him and wants to know more about what Hamlet is thinking.
