Claudius, Gertrude Vs Society

I need help with an explanation on how Claudius and Gertrude is Vs Soceity in the hamlet book.

Claudius and Gertrude didn't conform because their relationship was based on false pretences largely because of Claudius. Claudius killed his brother to become king and Gertrude, not knowing this, married Claudius. Ironically there wasn't any resistance to their relationship besides from Hamlet: the Danish court pretty much accepted them.
