why does gulliver leave lilliput?

It is agreed that Gulliver has committed grave crimes against the state. Most of these have to do with Gulliver fraternizing with the enemy Blefuscu. They decide to do all sorts of horrible things to him (starving, blinding) until Gulliver simply runs away to Blefuscu.
