What does the inventory of Gulliver’s belongings tell the reader about the differences between Lilliput and England?

Judging by the fact the Lilliputians didn't know what the weaponry, powder, and bullets were for, we can infer that these technologies were not used in protecting the kingdom. We can also infer that they didn't have a way of telling time.... Gulliver's watch was a huge hit.
