What do you think is the common criticism of the projectors at the academy of lagado?

THese guys are like science nerds who never bathe. Their projects are also meaningless. They want to do things like melt ice into gunpowder or use spider webs to replace silk threads. THey fail because they are ridiculous to begin with. They satirize academia for its own sake without any sort of rationality or common sense.
