Gulliver had to swear peace with the emperor and his kingdom. 

"...that first I must lumos kelmin pesso desmar lon emposo”; that is, swear a peace with him and his kingdom."

When Gulliver was set adrift a small canoe by a Japanese captain with some resources, he arrived at a rocky island full of bird eggs.

He ate only eggs as supper, resolved to spare his provisions. He had no breakfast.
