Summarize the kings point of view about European countries?

The king feels European countries like England are lower than Brobdingnag. Gulliver tries to impress the king with England's accomplishments but the king is not swayed. He is especially horrified at the invention of gunpowder. He tells Gulliver to never mention gunpowder again if he wants to keep living.
