Does Gulliver's travels accomplish what it sets out to accomplish? If so, how? If not, what could the author have done differently

Gulliver's travels is a satirical story meant to expose the hypocrisy and excess of European society. Certainly this story has become a classic example of saterical literature. Much of your question relates to themes of the story. I don't think he should have done anything differently hence why the story is still required reading in many schools.
